The Luftwaffe white sheepskin winter hat is relatively easy to obtain on the collectors market, however a officers version with silver piping into the crown is rare. A very fine condition all black leather, size ‘55½’ stamped skull, some light crazing to the front and rear peaks. All silver fittings with its Bavarian front plate, chinstrap, national and state cockades. Excellent condition, one of the many stored pork pie hats recently discovered. Nap to the crown superb, still with a central crease where folded for over 100 years.
