A rare hat from WWI being the stiff top cap, Montreal maker inside, Canadian stamped ‘1917’ dated size 6 ¾ Some light moth to the rear of the cap, the crown is virtually free of moth, slightly discoloured, with its original Canada bronze badge, its Canadian side buttons and its original correct size narrow leather chinstrap with twin buckles.  read more

BRITISH WWI PH HELMET.

A good example of the ultra rare gas hood known as the PH helmet. The P or PH helmet appeared in 1915 replacing the previous Hypo helmet. The very finely enamelled black, white and red RAD insignia for the officers cap. One chip to the enamel lower right hand side of the spade, complete with its fixing prongs on the reverse side, one prong missing.
