GERMAN WWI CHARGING PRUSSIAN PORCELAIN OFFICER.

A highly impressive porcelain figure, all in white measuring 41cm from the front hoof to the end of the tail. 32cm in height from the base to the tip of the officers pickelhaube spike. The detail is superb, the officer is wearing his 1910 pattern officers tunic with the Prussian rear skirt shown, Swedish cuffs, epaulettes, his pickelhaube having a cover, the end of the scabbard has broken away. All of the reins intact, all of the saddle equipment complete. The sword is complete but loose within the hilt. Lying at the feet of the horse is a French dragoon helmet. A plaque within the glaze reads ‘1914’ on the very base. An indistinct makers mark on the base. The ears have never been broken or the tail. Apart from the lower part of the scabbard missing the piece is undamaged and unrepaired. A highly impressive piece for a WWI collection.
