A very interesting period card sign of large dimensions, which is for a bread manufacturer. Interestingly the manufacturer of the bread supplied it to Sir Oswald Mosley (The Leader of the British Union of Facists )which is clearly written in large case across the middle of the advert. Obtained by us with a whole grouping of Royal Flying Corps uniforms and accoutrements this flying helmet is identical to motoring helmets at the time, therefore we cannot definitively guarantee that this was used as a flying helmet, however many images exist of the period use of these type of helmets.
