RUSSIAN WWI MESS TIN.

A scarce item from the Imperial Russian army being a 1909 model mess tin constructed in copper, profusely stamped in four places with the factory’s name and Russian army acceptance stamps dated July 1916. Two tiny holes in the lower section one tiny hole in the top, handle and hinge is rusted and some minor distortion to shape otherwise good.  read more

A rare pair of matching shoulder boards for a member of a Mechanised Anti Aircraft Machine Gun Artillery Unit., rank of sergeant. RUSSIAN ROMANOV ORDER OF ST. NICHOLAS THE MIRCLE WORKER WITH SWORDS.

Awarded after the Russian Civil War to Tzarist veterans. Gold coloured cross with white enamel arms and centre Romanov griffin on each sword. Gilt image of St. Nicholas to the centre. On the reverse it is inscribed ‘FOR THE GREAT WAR 1914-17’. Excellent condition, undamaged enamel.  read more

A standard issue olive drab bread bag, painted over in a waterproof paint in a brown colour to both the bag and the full length strap. Marked to the interior ‘L & H Co, Berlin’. All correct strapping and zeltbahn buttons intact. A small hole to the very base of the bag. All exterior belt loop fittings and aluminium strap loops present.  read more

A rare piece of headdress from the Third Reich period, The Panzer Beret. The exterior of the beret, which is in a very large size, has the standard twirl weave in the cloth.
