GERMAN WWII NSKK STANDARTE 78 PLAQUE.

A very nice deeply struck heavy white metal circular plaque, maker marked ‘C.Balmberger, Nuremberg’ on the reverse side. The image at the front commemorates the Orientation Drive 1937 of Standarte 78 showing an NSKK motorcycle ride of a swastika armband talking to an either SA or NSKK man in a vehicle. The officers daggers of the MVSN were far higher quality than the standard enlisted mans, the blades are far more professionally finished with nice cross grain polishing. A highly attractive and generally good condition enamel sign for the German Red Cross measuring 49 x 49cm, white field, the text of ‘DEUTSCHE ROTES KREUZ’ with the down swept winged Red Cross style eagle, swastika centre to the breast with a red cross in the claws of the eagle.
