GERMAN WWII NSKK STANDARTE 78 PLAQUE.

A very nice deeply struck heavy white metal circular plaque, maker marked ‘C.Balmberger, Nuremberg’ on the reverse side. The image at the front commemorates the Orientation Drive 1937 of Standarte 78 showing an NSKK motorcycle ride of a swastika armband talking to an either SA or NSKK man in a vehicle. Constructed in the standard SA colour, one tiny moth nip close to the aluminium button, another at the rear, no more than pin heads. No moth tracking. A very nice condition, virtually unworn visor cap, possibly size 56. Standard blue naval type top without any moth damage, mohair centre band, correct naval chinstrap, two anchor side buttons. Two citations, the rare illuminated citation in gold and silver print to Gefreiter Wilhelm Krause of the 1st Schnellboots Flottille, Award date ‘16th July 1943’ with a pen signature of an unidentified junior officer. A large grouping of Hitler Youth pamphlets and books with a diary. It is not known whether they are the collection of one Hitler Youth member. Nice attractive coloured songbook showing a Hitler Youth band marching with all the songs of the Hitler Youth in music form to the interior. GERMAN WWII WAR SERVICE CROSS 1ST CLASS WITH SWORDS.

A very good example retaining much original silver frosting. Marked number ‘1’ to the exterior of the wide tapering pin, indicating the Company of Deschler & Sohne of Munich. Original hook and hinge, all fitted into its original presentation case that comes without a closing catch, the silk to the upper inner lid good. A slightly dulled outline of the award to the exterior of the box.  read more
