A hugely impressive oil painting of a submarine Knights Cross Winner Heinz Krey. Heinz Krey was born in Wiesbaden in December 1921 and was killed on the 23rd May 1943 in the middle of the North Atlantic. He was posthumously awarded the Knights Cross on the 4th September 1943. A large circular 15mm circumference medallion for the Reich Agricultural Association. Traces of light oxidisation to the award on both sides but much original gilt remaining. In its original titled box with very faintly gilt blocked to the lid, which reads ‘EHRENPREISMUNZE DES REICHSNAHRSTANDES’.  read more
