An interesting reminder of war being a 2nd pattern type Afrikakorps tunic and standard pattern straight leg trousers that were recently recovered from Italy. These items show extremely extensive wear, their origin was from a POW camp and items appear to have been left behind by various departing prisoners and were discovered in Italy. An impressive white metal heavy plaquette awarded by Hermann Goering for technical achievement within the Luftwaffe. A very attractive 6.5cm heavy bronze plaquette with the face side having an eagle type bird over a swastika, on the reverse side a side image of a rabbit or a hare. A very attractive circular motoring plaque 7.5cm circumference. The emblem is enamelled in white, blue, black, gold and red with surrounding bronze wreath for a Kiel Nordmark Night Drive on the 21st and 22nd April 1934. Two pre drilled fixing holes for a badge bar.  read more
