A very nice and rare cuff title for the General Government of the Eastern Territories, which mainly administered Poland with gothic lettering 'OST' with gold waffenfarbe to the upper and lower sections of the centre band, still with the original price ticket attached. Standard 20 litre petrol can, Austria Wien made, lettering hard to observe, clear date of '42'. The can would appear to have had multi layers of heavy duty paint covering it. A non maker marked convex shaped Minesweeper badge, which has lost virtually all of its gilt but unusually retains the silvering to the exploding bomb. We have noticed over the years that many Kriegsmarine personnel would personally bend their badges to fit more snugly against the uniform, this practice was far more popular amongst Kriegsmarine personnel than any other of the armed services.  read more
