The rare box in the ordnance tan colour for carrying the MG34/42 ZF sight. The inside separation panels are missing however complete with its sprung loaded web tab to the closure catch, which is maker coded and dated ‘42’. The webbing tab still in place. A good set of Vienna made non combat Y straps, dated ‘42’. Most of the paint finish remaining to the metallic sections, leather strong, used by mounted artillery and also by Luftwaffe paratroopers.  read more

GERMAN WWII TROPICAL AFRIKAKORPS RUCKSACK

An interesting variation on the typical Afrikakorps rucksack made from a mid weight olive brown canvas throughout. Most of the closures are the Lux type buckle and strap end, these are a lightly rusted metal, however good and strong. To the rear are the two Y strap mounting type brackets. A good set of well service used webbing and leather tropical Y straps. The long multiple suspender section is constructed in webbing with some fraying and rust to the metal fittings.
