GERMAN WWI OFFICERS PICKELHAUBE COVER.

Nice condition with its spike top held to the main body by five tapes, fibre within the front and back peaks to help secure it to the helmet. Maker or owner marked ‘Vorn’ to the underside of one of the flexible peaks. The cover is not size stamped but on test it will fit a helmet ranging from 56 to 58.  read more

The majority of the silvering from the front of the plate has disappeared. The enlisted ranks type fitting lugs are present on the reverse side.  read more

GERMAN WWI PRUSSIAN CANVAS OVER CORK PICKELHAUBE.

A very nice relic of WWI being the rare cork pickelhaube covered in field grey field grey canvas in four sections. Front and back peaks securely attached to the main body. The age of the front plate matches exactly the age of the spike and circular spike base. Both the national and state cockades are in place but the chinstrap is missing.
