GERMAN WWI DEER’S FOOT FIGHTING KNIFE.

A knife much seen in photographs being worn by German troops in the trenches being the deer’s foot knife. Excellent blade with unusual double headed eagle trademark, S shaped steel cross guard, original leather washer complete, in its steel military style scabbard and belt loop. A very nice condition all brown leather holster for the Luger PO8, profusely stamped with ink stamp for Army Corps B.A.XI (Army Corps 11). Maker marked and clearly dated ‘1918’ under the flap, and then on the reverse of the holster to the lower section ‘L.Z.A.’ with Prussian style eagle with the lettering underneath ‘H.Hannover’. GERMAN WWII HUNGARIAN FFG BROWN LEATHER PISTOL HOLSTER CDC 43.

Some years ago a large quantity of these unissued holsters were found, none of them had the flap closed and thus we have portrayed it as they were found with the flap open. They were all sold around the world, this is one of the last examples, marked inside the flap ‘For Pistol 37M (UNG) Kal.7.65 MM’. Marked on the belt loop Luftwaffe acceptance stamp ‘CDC43’. A rare combination, a 100cm long combat weight leather belt, the belt buckle all steel with faint traces of its field grey green paint on the reverse side, the majority of the paint missing from the face side, with its original leather tab, which is ‘Offenbach’ manufactured and dated ‘1918’, Offenbach is in the State of Hesse.  read more

A very nice condition ersatz bayonet with at least 80% of its original field grey green paint finish remaining to the hilt and scabbard, with its original leather frog.
