BRITISH WWII HOME FRONT BRODIE HELMET.

Standard Brodie helmet, two indentations to the crown, painted black with the letter ‘A’ stencilled to the front. The inner liner is size stamped and dated ‘1939’. Original owner’s name hand painted in green paint to the inner shell, also some scratched initials. The shell is dated ‘1939’ with makers stamp ‘JSS’ with its elasticated chinstrap.  read more

A standard 2nd pattern Brodie helmet with the bronze or brass badge of the Durham Light Infantry, which is oxidised to a green colour.
