GERMAN WWII K98 BAYONET, MATCHED NUMBERS WITH TROPICAL FROG.

Excellent blued blade, marked ‘44CVL 5727’. Wood grips, which have some abrasions and staining around the screw heads. Double waffen marked to the upper pommel. Sprung loaded bayonet fixing system intact and working correctly. Fitted into its black painted scabbard, which retains most of its original paint with some abrasions, having fitted its original tropical combat frog.  read more

The Luftwaffe tropical overseas caps were constructed in three different weights of the tropical material, thin, medium weight, and heavyweight. This is the desired heavyweight version which does have some fading, fitted with its correct machine embroidered light tan on dark tan triangular form eagle with its correct tropical edge.  read more

Wear to the face and to the motto. Cast aluminium. Stamped ‘JMO’ within a triangle on the reverse side underneath the leather tab, tab complete with faint traces of its ‘1941’ date.  read more
