A possibly size 55 M.43 cap that has been issued to an enlisted man or NCO and then field upgraded to officer rank by the addition of silver waffenfarbe to the crown. No moth damage or staining. All nap to cloth good, complete with its original Bevo woven separate eagle and national cockade. Double button front. GERMAN WWII LUFTWAFFE M40 SINGLE DECAL COMBAT HELMET.

A size Q 64 single decal combat helmet, the exterior retaining 95% of its original rough Luftwaffe blue grey finish with minor abrasions, the Luftwaffe decal totally undamaged. To the interior the size 56 stamped liner retaining virtually all its original light tan colour with some minor evidence of wear use in the forehead area, batch number appears to read 151, standard zinc band for the liner.  read more
