A good service used huge size 61 Kriegsmarine tropical officers side cap. Rusting to the eyelets, which has caused rust staining to the cloth surrounding the eyelets. A nice example, size 56, of a 2nd pattern tropical visored field cap with its untouched Bevo woven blue on tan eagle and cockade, with the field adaptation of officers corded style piping to the crown and front scallop of the cap. Nice quality tricot material with the narrow cap band, with its tails of Grossdeutschland with the swastika flag either side of the central name. Mid tan leather sweatband. A fabulous well service worn Luftwaffe blue tunic, which has faded in the same manner as many of the army tunics when worn continuously in the desert conditions. A nice condition disc back produced Iron Cross 1st class, flat construction, disc with raised central rim. No visible markings. Slight toning to the frame. All black central finish remaining. On the reverse side of the award a sharp pin, which is used as a uniform locating pin.  read more
