GERMAN WWII M.35 LUFTWAFFE DOUBLE DECAL TROPICAL COMBAT HELMET.

A fabulous example of a Q64 M.35 shell, originally issued as a Luftwaffe double decal combat helmet and fully over-painted in a tropical finish. A very faint outline of the Luftwaffe decal can be seen on the left hand side of the helmet as the helmet is worn and a very minor piece of red can be seen for the national tricolour on the opposite side. Also the outline of the tricolour is far more pronounced that the Luftwaffe eagle. The helmet liner retaining rivet heads have lost their paint finish. The tropical finish has approximately 85% remaining with losses, which can be seen on our web images. The interior skirt of the helmet also painted in tropical finish, the original Luftwaffe blue can be seen to the upper inner bowl. Complete with its correct M.35 aluminium liner banded liner. All of the 8 tongues to the leather liner are complete with its original drawstring and its brown leather chinstrap, which is maker marked and ‘1940’ dated. A super tropical helmet.
