GERMAN WWII VEHICLE RIFLE BUTT HOLDER.

In most German military vehicles provision was made for the storage of Mauser rifles, The set composed of a rifle butt holder and a clip that held the top of the rifle in place. This is a totally original example, it appears to be welded to a vehicle and then removed. Much original paint finish is present with obvious rust bleed.
