GERMAN WWI PRUSSIAN GUARD RESERVE OFFICERS HELMET PLATE.

A fabulous condition Guard Reserve officers helmet plate, the Guard plates are the largest of all the Imperial German helmet plates. Excellent gilt overall, complete with its Guard Star, its black Eagle Order centre with the enamel undamaged and the white enamel that runs beneath the circlet with the motto SUIM CUIQUE is absolutely undamaged. The Reserve officers cross with the scroll reading FUR KOENIG & VATERLAND (For King & Country) with the date 1813 below. One of the securing pegs on the reverse side is missing and the other one appears to be a modern replacement.
