GERMAN WWII M.38 LUFTWAFFE PARATROOPER HELMET.

A nice condition Luftwaffe Fallschirmjäger or Paratrooper single decal helmet. The exterior shell has nice finish overall, the eagle decal is missing the tip of the right hand wing and the tip of the swastika lower section with slight abrasions overall. The early three hole spanner bolts are matching in finish to the rest of the shell. The inner skirt of the shell is number stamped to the rear 4271. The leather liner has good supple leather and is ink-stamped in the standard positions however the size is difficult to read thus estimated size is 56. The mid war leather chin straps are complete however appear period repaired with one supplementary rivet in place as shown in the images. all male and female press studs present. This is a classic 'standard' single decal paratrooper helmet in used condition and a good helmet for the general helmet collector looking for an iconic example.
