GERMAN WWI DEMAG TRENCH KNIFE/BAYONET.

A good clean blade without any abusing, the Imperial Army acceptance stamp clearly visible on the flat edge of the upper blade. Faint traces of the circular Demag of Duisberg logo with DRGM to the opposite side. The crank handled hilt retains much of original field grey green paint finish. The bayonet fixing system intact and working correctly. The scabbard has only faint traces of its original black finish remaining. The belt loop is totally original to the knife. The hilt retaining strap appears to have been replaced. Many images of the crank handle Demag fighting knife being seen used by storm troopers late in WWI, attached to their K98K Carbines.
