GERMAN WWI SNIPER SCOPE.

As WWI progressed sniping from the trenches became more prevalent, the German Army found themselves short of sniper scopes and managed to purchase either privately or commercially many sniper scopes used on hunting rifles pre WWI. This excellent example measuring 36cm in length, maker marked ‘S.Fuess Steglitz-Berlin’ to the graduating turn key, marked ‘Helios 8’ to the viewing end. Nice condition excellent optics, some of the black finish missing from the eyepiece.
