BRITISH WWII 1ST PATTERN FAIRBAIRN SYKES KNIFE, VIRTUALLY MINT.
A fabulous example of the 1st pattern Fairbairn Sykes knife. The blade has never been interfered with, it has not been re-profiled or restored in any way. The ‘Wilkinson Sword’ logo and the ‘FS Fighting Knife’ logos on both forte of the blade are absolutely deep and clear. All of the nickel plating to the S shaped cross guard and to the machine cross hatched grip are perfect. Fitted into its original correct scabbard, no creasing to the leather or indentations to the nickel bottom chape, with both leg tabs fitted. Slight rubbing to the leather on the back of the upper part of the scabbard where the knife has rubbed against it for the last 80 years and a slight loss of the sheen on the leather on the hilt retaining strap. The male/female Newey closure button intact and working correctly. A fabulous example of this very desirable and now rare dagger. The sale of Knives, other Edged Weapons and Firearms are restricted to those aged over 18. Verification of age is required before purchase is concluded, this will include providing a scan of photo ID including your address and in some cases may require video verification by FaceTime or WhatsApp video, at Regimentals discretion, until formal laws on this requirement are enforced in the UK.
