GERMAN WWI MAXIM Z.F.12 MACHINE GUN OPTIC SIGHT.

Excellent quality optics, the body of the sight retains virtually all of its crackle finish field grey green paint. The leather eyepieces are intact but slightly loose within its aperture. The eyepiece aperture, which fixes to the main body has some sections missing. The lens cover, which is attached to the upper lens with its leather strap is all intact. Maker marked to the side of the body ‘Emil Busch A-G Rathenow’ Complete with its fitting system for the MG 08 heavy machine gun. The sight is situated in its composition paper carrying case with leather attachments and having two extra lenses within the inner lid aperture, only one has its tinted glass, the other is missing. The case itself is maker matched to the sight ‘Emil Busch, Rathenow’ in two places.
