A very nice example of the standard blue commander or captains cap with the added white top, the cap is approximately size 57. The white top has a small opening to the seam of the white top above the naval officers badge otherwise excellent condition. Minor age storage staining. Standard mohair centre band with the very nice high quality multi embroidered and velvet with metallic anchor Royal Naval officers cap badge. Standard narrow patent strap. Front visor with large width of embroidered rank braid. To the interior there is evidence of wear use, the light tan lining has slightly discoloured in places but is not broken or damaged with a ‘Gieves Limited, London W4’ label attached to the inner crown with faint traces of an original owner’s name, a further Gieves Limited logo printed to the crown area, which has been obscured by wear use. A nice white top officers commander or captains visor cap.
