GERMAN WWII GERMAN CROSS IN GOLD, CASED.

Pin marked number ‘20’ indicating the Company of Zimmermann & Company. The gilt to the 1941 dated wreath rubbed but evidence of original gilt in the lower field of the wreath. Some wear to the tips of the black ray. The enamel is undamaged but with slight scratching. Four classic Zimmermann rivets, each one hollow with the long tapering pin, original hinge and hook. Fitted into its original case with its complete and unbroken gold line. The upper inner fabric to the lid has toned and the flock base surrounding the award is rubbed. Minor nicks to the corners of the box otherwise the box and the hinge are in excellent condition.
