GERMAN WWII LUFTWAFFE PARATROOPER BADGE BY GWL.

A lovely quality award, the diving eagle having all its original fire gilt with frosted highlights to the edges of the wings and the eagle’s head. A small area to the top left hand side of the wreath has slightly lost its finish, the silvered finish generally remaining to the remainder of the wreath. Classic GWL construction on the reverse side. The hook is cast with the wreath and has its its thin needle pin and two sunken rivets with the logo ‘GWL’ impressed into the reverse side of the eagle. The GWL is the company of Gebruder Wegerhof of Ludenscheid.
