GERMAN WWII SS M.33 MANS DAGGER.
A very clean SS model 33 early type dagger. Good cross grain finish remaining to the blade. Marked with the company’s logo of ‘E P & S, Solingen’. Some slight markings from the inner brass blade retaining bands from the scabbard. Marked Roman numeral II on the reverse of the lower cross guard. Ebony wood grip in excellent condition with some minor indentations. High quality national eagle and undamaged enamel to the SS runic inset. Upper grip mount excellent. The domed nut to the dagger has not been abused by previous owners trying to open it with a set of pliers. In its matching anodised scabbard with early quality upper and lower scabbard mounts, the lower scabbard mount has some minor indentations to the front and is slightly flattened to the lower ball. Complete with its suspension ring, all four screws present for the scabbard mounts. Anodising to the scabbard excellent.
