JAPANESE WWII SAIPAN 1944 CAPTURED ARISAKA BAYONET.

A very nice condition standard Arisaka bayonet. Standard hooked quillon cross guard, upper retaining button fitted, wood grips undamaged, complete with its original undated scabbard with good colour remaining to the scabbard itself and its leather frog, which has not rotted. The small strap and buckle, which secures the frog to the bayonet is all secure and strong. This is obviously a battlefield pick up, hand engraved in one of the wood grips ‘Saipan 1944’.
