A very nice condition crown over ‘VR’ marked, BSA & co, Company marked, ‘1876’ dated Martini Henry rifle. Many other proof marks to the weapon. Nice undamaged condition wood, complete with its ramrod. The lever action working perfectly. Complete with a rare original leather carrying strap. The rifle seems to have a later adaption for a different style of bayonet than it was originally designed for, we have an original bayonet in its scabbard with the weapon. The bayonet upper scabbard mount has Indian markings, leather generally good with the seam of the leather open close to the upper scabbard mount. This is an obsolete calibre and no de-activation certificate is needed either within the U.K. Overseas prospective purchasers should consult their own governmental regulations. The weapon is dated ‘1876’ and could possibly have been used in South Africa. The sale of Knives, other Edged Weapons and Firearms are restricted to those aged over 18.
