GERMAN WWII KRIEGSMARINE NCO WHITE TOP VISOR CAP.

Removable white top over a standard blue cap, very large size, possibly 59 or 60. The white top has toned with age. Complete with its cellion national cockade, subdued gilded removable eagle, standard correct naval chinstrap with naval side buttons. Light tan leather sweatband, undamaged. The interior crown area is lined in blue with a centre celluloid lozenge with an underlay of gold. The maker’s logo below the celluloid is indecipherable, the orange cushion in the forehead area has solidified, By the form of the cap it appears to be a pre war produced cap in a style halfway between the Imperial Naval visor caps and the WWII Third Reich with the larger floppier top.
