GERMAN WWII GERMAN CROSS IN GOLD, CASED.

A very nice condition German Cross in gold, manufacturer number ‘134’ cast into the rear large star. The furniture, which includes the pin, hook and hinge is identical to the Zimmermann produced examples, which are numbered 20, also the four hollow rivet construction. All of the silver finish to the outer star complete with all of the black finish to the inner ray also complete. Gilt excellent, enamel excellent, slight toning to the silver finish to the plate that sits behind the black swastika. Fitted into its later period case that is devoid of the push button opening and has a paper hinge on the rear. The hinge is all intact as is the satin covering. The inner upper lid satin also perfect. The flock base is very good with four indentations where four of the points of the German Cross have sat for many years. The gold line that surrounds the case is all intact. Minor scuffs to the upper corners of the outer case and some rubbing to the base. It would be very difficult to find a nicer example.
