AUSTRALIAN WWII MADE SHOULDER HOLSTER.
A very nicely constructed light tan leather holster, possibly from kangaroo leather. Stamped ‘Bonnie & Clark Makers’. The holster comprises of one main panel with the aperture for the Smith & Wesson Victory Model 38 calibre revolver (we have tested this exact revolver within this holster), which were widely distributed to Australian Forces under Lend Lease in WWII. The holsters were mainly used by Australian aviators also used by U.S. Marine Corps and naval aviators. To each side of the holster aperture there are six further loops for 38 calibre rounds. The rig has a shoulder strap and a neck strap all with their own individual buckles and two lower waist ties. Excellent condition, evidence of long term storage. A highly interesting holster, ideal for mannequin display.
