A magnificent condition 1st model pickelhaube from 1842, these early pickelhaubes stand 37cm in height from the front peak to the very tip of the spike and are highly impressive helmets. The history of the pickelhaube shows that from under the 100 years from 1842 to 1914 the pickelhaube shrunk in size.
