GERMAN WWII SA STANDARTENFUHRER’S TUNIC, BREECHES AND BELT.

An absolutely fabulous identified uniform of an SA Standartenfuhrer. The material is in the classic SA brown with an identical set of breeches from the same bolt of cloth, silver piped to the collar. Standartenfuhrer’s gold and silver over red base single shoulder board. The collar patches are metallic standartenfuhrer’s oak leaves on a red base, which indicates Group Staff. A nice quality political armband with a striped black swastika multi machine stitched over a white felt field laid on the red armband cloth. Loops to the upper left breast pocket for two awards. Deep turned back cuffs. Skirted rear pleats. Four pocket configuration. All white metal pebbled buttons. The light cream/white tailor’s label to the upper inner lining material has unfortunately shredded. To the inside pocket is the tailor’s label in canvas of ‘Ateller Schneider Linz A.D. (Linz on the River Danube). The name of the wearer is ‘Alfred Freund’ date of the production of the uniform is October 1938. The matching breeches, which are zip front have the identical name and the identical tailor’s label stitched to the inside of one of the side pocket bags. There is no moth damage anywhere on the tunic or trousers. Complete with the uniform is the SA wide brown service belt with its nickel pebbled rectangular double pronged buckle, complete with its cross strap, both sprung loaded clips to the cross strap are RZM marked, matching in quality and pebbling as the belt buckle. Adolf Alfred Freund born 18th April 1898 in Hildesheim, died 24th July 1984. On the 1st July 1932 he was appointed SA Standartenfuhrer, in SA Gruppe Thuringen, he served in various offices in different SA Brigades, his last appointment being Leader of SA Brigade 162 Minden on the 15th July 1943.
