GERMAN WWII NSDAP OBER-GEMEINSCHAFTSLEITER (SENIOR COMMUNITY LEADER) GAU LEVEL OVERCOAT.

A rare piece of uniform from the political organisation the NSDAP being the long greatcoat. Standard political brown material with all of the large size gilt buttons attached, adorned with the M.29 style eagle and swastika. A lighter shade of collar, the collar itself is piped in the wine red of the Gau Level, which is the 2nd highest political level within Germany. The insignia fitted is a matched set of collar patches for an Ober-Gemeinschaftsleiter, the gilt excellent to the metallic eagles. Correct matching political armband, equally Gau piped to the edges, no moth damage. The greatcoats of any organisation of the Third Reich have been very susceptible to moth damage, this does not have any moth damage at all anywhere on the garment. Standard construction configuration with the belt at the reverse side with four buttons attached, two lower angled pockets and deep turned back cuffs.
