GERMAN WWI M.15 GUMMI GAS MASK.

Generally excellent condition, lenses good, the face mask itself firm and undamaged with all of its head fitting tapes. The filter has some areas of rust to the centre. Profusely rubber ink stamped with the date ’14.4.17’ plus other identifying numbers with a maker’s stamp of ‘G.J.B.1917’. Fitted into its original carrying tin, which retains virtually all of its field grey finish and all its carrying straps. Six spare lenses are included into the compartment to the inner upper lid and the paper instructions for the use of the mask are still intact at the base of the tin. An original owner’s name is hand applied to the base of the tin with further dates of ‘1917’. The face mask rubber has a good degree of solidifying and we have not squashed the mask to close the lid for fear of damaging the face mask material.
