JAPANESE WWII NAVAL OFFICERS SWORD.

A magnificent blade to this Japanese naval officer sword for WWII, the blade measures 68cm or 27 inches having a beautiful shaded and wavy hamon to the sharpened edge. Standard naval dark blue oval Tsuba ( crossguard ) fitting, complete with its untouched cloth wrapping over the ray skin hilt. The tang is unsigned. Good gilt to the lower hilt mount and the upper hilt cap. The scabbard has a beautiful ray skin pattern with minor chipping visible with good gilt to all of the scabbard fittings.
