GERMAN WWII AFRIKAKORPS RECONNAISSANCE UNIT TUNIC IN ABSOLUTELY MINT UNISSUED CONDITION.
The tunic is unworn, fully size stamped with the depot code of ‘B42’, this indicates that this is a late production 1st pattern tropical tunic. Being a late pattern the eagle fitted is the 2nd pattern Bevo woven blue on tan, standard tropical machine sewn collar patches, nco tropical tress to the collar. The shoulder boards are superb being the silk piped copper brown reconnaissance colour, the material of the shoulder boards match the tunic exactly and have grey underlay indicating that they are 2nd pattern period 1942 production shoulder boards. All of the buttons are removable. The maker mark of ‘Wilhelm Viohi & Co Berlin’ stamped to the bandage pocket. Upper medium size. It would be extremely difficult, if not impossible to find a tunic in such unused condition and with this rare arm of service piping to the shoulder boards.
