WWI IMPERIAL GERMAN THURINGEN INFANTRY REGIMENT NCO PICKLEHAUBE.

A very nice condition officer quality all leather pickelhaube worn by a NCO in Infantry Regiment number 153, leather skull excellent, some congealing to the front and rear peaks, although both are peaks securely fixed to the main body, the stitching has not rotted, good gilt overall, with some minor spots of oxidisation, having an officers cutout crown front plate, with the very proud overlay plate of Saxon -Weimar regiments, enlisted ranks quality national and state cockade, the state cockade being in its correct green and gold, enlisted ranks chinstrap, NCO domes to the spike base,, to the interior officers quality leather and inner silk liner, the leather all good with evidence of minor wear use, with the silk slightly shredded in places, a handwritten size of 54 to the inner skull, also the addition of the original wearers name, with what appears to be a date of 6/04, a nice helmet to a scarce regiment.
