A stunning condition Japanese type 90 combat helmet, complete with the army star, retaining all its original paint finish having the painted line of a slightly different shade of the Japanese brown running around the base of the helmet. The helmet itself with all its original liner and its chin straps. Japanese kanji numbers to the inner rear skirt in white. The Japanese characters underneath the liner have been decoded to the date of 1942, which is an excellent example, cover superb, again with kanji markings having its original drawstring and a yellow applied wool star to an olive drab circlet, then attached to the cover. The proof of original covers for any nation is to invert the cover on a flat surface, if the cover collapses in on itself it will not be original, this as can be seen by the accompanying photographs retains its bowl shape.
