GERMAN WWI LEIB HUSSAR REGIMENT NO.1. NCO VISOR CAP.

A rare visor cap of one of the premier cavalry regiments of the Imperial German Army. Good size, probably 56 or 57 NCO’s visor cap. All black body, no moth to the main body, two minor moth nips to the upper white waffenfarbe. Red centre band, white waffenfarbe to the upper and lower edges of the red band. The cap is fitted with NCO’s quality national cockade and an enlisted ranks one-piece Prussian State cockade with the jawless skull of the Leib Hussar Regiment No.1 sitting between the two cockades. The front peak has some light congealing. To the interior an ersatz sweatband, some discoloration to the inner tan lining otherwise good.
