U.S.A. WWI U.S. MARINE CORPS BRODIE HELMET.

The classic American produced Brodie helmet of WWI, the remains of the paper instruction label still fitted to the crown rivet. The rough sand paint finish remaining with some abrasions. Fitted and painted to the helmet is the insignia of the 2nd Battalion 5th Marines with at the very top of the painted insignia the First World War Marine Corps badge. There is one extra hole fitted through the painted head of the Indian, when painting these helmets this unit were told to move the Marine Corps badge higher up so that the whole of the insignia of the 2nd Battalion could be seen.
