GERMAN WWII LUFTWAFFE FLAK REGIMENT TRUMPET BANNER.

52 cm x 36 cm very nicely constructed trumpet banner, red silk base with to the face side a huge Luftwaffe Eagle and swastika hand embroidered in the typical German chain stitched embroidery pattern of the period, on the reverse side Flak Regiment 26, I.Abteilung, some discolouration to the red field, no moth damage or undo imperfections, with its complete fringe on three sides, the upper part of the banner having its original metallic clips which are sprung loaded for attaching to the Luftwaffe trumpet, Flak Regiment 26 was formed on 1 October 1936 in Dessau-Kochstedt. There would be between 6 to 8 Fanfare trumpeters in each Luftwaffe bands.
