GERMAN WWII M.42 ARMY SINGLE DECAL COMBAT HELMET.

A large size M.42 shell, the stamped markings in the rear skirt are too difficult to decipher but on test the liner size would appear to be approximately 58 or 59. Army single decal good and clear with just minor abrasions. The paint finish of the remainder of the skull excellent with standard scuffs and markings. Some rust bleed to the interior lower skirt with more evidence of rust to the inner bowl. The original M.40 liner with its zinc band is still intact. The leather has been slightly affected by red rot and it has lost two of the tongues and one split to the liner adjacent to one of the strap posts, strap missing.
