GERMAN WWII LPG GENERAL GOERING ENLISTED MANS OR NCO VISOR CAP.

An ultra rare cap from the era to the Third Reich being the Landespolizeigruppe General Goering. Although not size stamped, on test the hat would approximately be 57 or 58. Constructed in the Landespolizei green wool cloth with light green piping to the crown and the upper and lower sections of the dark green centre band. Standard fibre visor, fitted with an enlisted ranks chinstrap with rectangular buckles, with the early droop tailed short winged eagle and matching Luftwaffe cockade. The cap is in unworn condition. The mid tan leather liner is not stained. There is a cork cushion in the forehead area behind the leather sweatband. The interior side lining is in a light gold brushed cotton with the upper crown lining in a matching light gold satin. An undamaged centre celluloid lozenge with the name of ‘Friedrich Sachmann Extra Qualitat, Berlin N.W.7. Karlstr. 33’. The interior of the front visor is also in police green. There is one moth nip 8cm to the left of the wing tip of the eagle close to the crown piping. This uniform was only worn for three years from July 1933 until March 1936. In-depth detail on the uniform regulations can be read on page 100 and 101 on the extra work Hermann Goering by Roger James Bender and George Peterson. An ultra rare cap from the Third Reich period.
