GERMAN WWII CUSTOM OFFICERS WHITE TOP VISOR CAP.

A highly unusual cap from the Third Reich being the Customs officials visor cap with it removable white top. The top itself has toned in colour after years of storage. Standard customs green centre band. Customs unique style stamped aluminium eagle with out-swept tips to the wings. Customs style silver bullion woven central cockade. Standard officers cap cords with silver pebbled side buttons. Although not size stamped the cap is of large proportions, possibly size 60 or 61. To the interior wide light tan leather sweatband shows some wear use. The interior of the cap is fully lined in light tan satin with a totally unbroken centre celluloid lozenge with the maker’s logo of the well known hat maker ‘Clemens Wagner’ below the centre celluloid lozenge. One moth nip only to the green cloth at the very base of the cap otherwise totally free of any moth damage or imperfections. The interior orange forehead cushion has solidified.
