GERMAN WWII LUFTWAFFE FIELD DIVISION NCO WHITE TOP CAP.

Along with the Light Green piping cap of the Air Traffic Control cap of the Luftwaffe this Jager Green piped cap is the most difficult of all the coloured piping’s for the Luftwaffe to obtain with the waffenfarbe being in Jager green (Jagengrun). A large size cap, non size stamped but possibly 59 or 60. White removable top, the top does have some rust staining. The insignia fitted is the early droop tailed short wing eagle with national cockade. Jager green piping to the upper and lower sections of the mohair centre band. Standard NCO enlisted mans strap with oval buckles. The fibre peak has the double ribbed edge most favoured on Luftwaffe caps. The hat has a narrower than unusual brown leather sweatband, The cap cover is fully lined to the interior with its inner satin lining with a totally undamaged centre celluloid lozenge, marked ‘Original Schellenberg Stirndruckfrei Sonderklasse’.
