GERMAN WWII THIRD REICH POLICE OFFICIALS WHITE TOP SUMMER CAP BY EREL.
An exceedingly rare cap from the Third Reich being a large size, possibly 60 or 61 Municipal Police officers visor cap with removable white top. There is no moth damage to any of the wool on the cap. The top of the removable white top has toned considerably. Brown wool centre band with green waffenfarbe to the upper and lower sections of the centre band. Police officers quality eagle below the national cockade. Standard silver wire officers cap cord with twin silver side buttons. Front visor peak with a double ribbed edge similar to Luftwaffe officers caps. To the interior the mid tan leather sweatband is complete, undamaged with minor wear use showing in the forehead area. Portions of the inner orange foam cushion are present, parts of it has solidified and broken away. The interior of the cap is lined in a very nice light silk or rayon with its undamaged centre celluloid lozenge, Erel Sonderklaas gold blocked below the lozenge with the original officers name on a dark grey piece of paper in the section of the lozenge for a name tag.
